Dylan n’a que vingt ans lorsqu’il écrit en 1962 le texte qui deviendra pour toute une génération l’hymne de la contestation. Le titre est présenté en 1963 sur l’album ‘The Freewheelin'. Cette chanson a été reprise par des dizaines de groupes et de chanteurs.
